Why I am an ambassador for Burnley?
- I love Burnley, always have, and always will. I am proud to live and work here.
- Because I believe in Burnley, it has a lot to offer and is a great place to be.
- I want to be part of a campaign that presents a true positive picture of my hometown to the rest of the world.
- Because I believe Burnley borough and Burnley residents are great – they just need to believe it themselves.
- To challenge the negative and promote the positive.
Favourites Things about Burnley
- Burnley parks. I take my son and we have a great time.
- The Clarets
- The friendliest people in the world.
- Its excellent location and access to the countryside.
- Walking along the Straight Mile on a sunny day.
Least favourite things about Burnley
- Negative image and negative people who ‘dis’ the town and have no pride.
- Forever looking backwards instead of to the future.
- Litter and dumping of rubbish.
- Association with poverty and racism.
- Traffic wardens!!
My vision of Burnley in 2020
- A thriving creative community where diversity is celebrated and people feel a strong sense of belonging and involvement in the life of the town.
- Burnley is the cleanest, friendliest and greenest town in Pennine Lancashire.
- To be an even bigger more vibrant town with magnificent facilities, fantastic shopping and an even better nightlife.
- A premiership football team.

All we are asking ambassadors to do is to actively promote Burnley Borough wherever possible in their day today activities.
Just talking about the good things that are happening in Burnley at any given opportunity you will be fulfilling your duties as an ambassador.
How much does it cost ?
It doesn’t cost a bean and you get a t-shirt and badge to wear too.
Will it take up a lot of my time?
Not at all because you are promoting Burnley along side your day-to-day activities.
