Campaign boost
Betterburnley was given a boost in when Burnley Football Club held a betterburnley day at their home tie against Sheffield Wednesday in February.
A team of schoolchildren from Hambledon Community College made their singing debut accompanied by international tenor Sean Ruane singing a rousing version of “Nessun Dorma” for the Clarets Crowd.
Turf Moor cheerleaders wore their betterburnley t-shirts with pride and even Bertie Bee warmed up in his t-shirt which was specially made for him for the day.
The betterburnley day was designed to increase the profile of the borough wide bid to raise aspiration and improve the image of the town both locally and at regional and national levels.
